4 days left until I leave for Texas! Its getting so exciting, but I'm also way behind in my preparation. I thought tonight I was finished my goodie bag gift - 50 paper piecings, only to count up and realise I'd made 49 DOH!

So tonight I will clean my mats so I can re sticky them in the morning to cut out my final paper piecing, and a special request file :)

I thought I'd show you as well a sneak peak at an upcoming file :) it just needs a little tweaking and it will be ready. I hope you like it.

There is 9 days until I go to Texas! YAH! Which means though that there is heaps I need to accomplish. So I'll do my best to finish off some of my new designs before I go - I 've got a couple more Halloween things, lol, but bear with me ok.

Theres also some exciting things happening. So stayed tuned.

I made this for ~D~. Its the logo from a play a couple of her kids are in. Looking forward to giving it to her in person in Texas ! :)

When we were away camping, my youngest son, who just turned 7 commented on how it didn't matter what we were camping in, and what happened while we were away, but it was just nice to be all there together. And he was so right. Family means everything.

Balloon Bear

On Scrapshare, the owners have given us downunder girls our own area to play in, and this is where I like to catch up with my scrapping buddies from Australia and New Zealand. Every now and then someone goes travelling and we have a bit of a competition to guess how many photos they took. Last week we went camping, so I figured I could have some fun with it. I made this little guy as the prize. Its one of the things I designed while I was camping.

He's perfect for a birthday party or celebration page. Kalese was the winner, I hope she likes him.

Some pics

I thought I'd share some pics from my week camping. I'm not a brilliant photographer by any means. But I like these. The river is all stained at low tide from the water flowing out of the tea trees further upstream. At high tide its full of fresh sparkling clean water. It was cool and fresh, perfect for lazily floating down the river and for trying to catch fish in.

I'm back from camping. I had an interesting time. Wasn't the best time ever, wasn't bad either. Just was. I got a couple of drawings done so I'll make some new files this week.

Did you have fun shopping and picking out your freebies while I was gone? I'll get that all sorted and sent this afternoon.
