Friends for Life

Having a dog can be a wonderful experience. I love watching my DS with our dog, especially as they sit together and just have some quiet moments together. I made this to complement that special relationship.

Olympic Trials

Last night we headed to the Aquatic Centre at Homebush, Sydney to watch the Olympic Swimming Qualifiers. We were treated to some great races, and got to see Grant Hackett and Leisel Jones swim. There was some Australian records, a Commonwealth Record, and in the multi disability races a few provisional world records.

Most exciting for us, one of the boys from our swimming club raced and made it through to the 200m butterfly final which is on tonight. GO LACHIE!

Catching Bugs Mesh

I made this to complement the Catching Bugs title. The frame fits a 6x4 photo. Remember you can rotate the frame so your snail can be climbing up down or across for a portrait orientated photo.

I have had lots of fun making this file. It was something I sketched up when sitting waiting at the eisteddfod last weekend. My littliest son loves his bug catcher, always coming to show me little creatures. All parts of the file are my original design. There's a bug mesh and frame coming shortly to complete the set.

Easter Bunny

Inspired by Luanna off CRFun, I designed this little bunny from scratch. I totally loved making him, and I found it wonderful grabbing nodes in inkscape and changing his shape and movements (sick I know). Anyway, the scanner is having trouble with the colours, but I'm sure you get the idea.

He fits perfectly on the front of a card, or could go on an Easter page.

Summer Daze

Even though its Autumn, there is some real warmth in the air at the moment, so I thought I should do a summer file, for those photos yet to be scrapped.

State Titles

A couple of weeks ago 2 out of 3 of my kids competed at the Junior Age Surf Life Saving Titles for NSW, aka the State Nipper Titles. I made this file to go with their photos for my album.

Dream

Watching the girls and boys at the dance eisteddfod this weekend you see a lot of them trying their best and working towards their dream. Some dreams are just to get up on that stage, others are to win their section and progress into the next category. Some are working towards scholarships and championships. But the ones that inspire me the most are the girls out in the foyer that just can't keep still. They are all from different dance schools and have become friends just because of their love of dance. They stretch and push each other and ask have your been working on this...have you been practising that...how's your piruettes (sp?) going? In their spirit I've made this file.

Dancing day 2

Another day at the eisteddfod today. My daughter came home with a 1st and a 2nd for her 2 tap dances. The 2nd one she slipped in which took away some of her confidence which is a shame, but she still looked lovely. I guess I should make some dance files and get started on her dance album. Soon...soon.

Dancing

I've been out all day today at a dance eisteddfod for my daughter. She has a lovely stage presence and I love to watch her dance. This morning she did her modern, and won her section. This afternoon she did a tap impro and wowed us all, achieving 1st. It was really lovely to have mothers and grandparents from other dance schools coming up to say how well she did. I'm tired, but really proud. Back again tomorrow for more dances.

Australia Day

Australia Day in January is always a relaxed event. I find us celebrating a little differently every year. This year we were packing up from camping and heading home. When we got here, we just lazed by the pool, played some cricket and had take away for dinner.

Surf

I love how this has turned out. I designed it with the flames on the surfboard because thats the type of board my son wants me to buy him. We did Surf School last October holidays and I can see me using if for that, or any of the other zillion photos I'm going to end up with of the kids surfing. It could also be used for Surf Titles, Learn to surf, or just Surf Fun.

It comes as a grouped title, and also seperately with different sized mats for your preference.

The Little Things

I've been attempting to participate in the 12 of 12 challenge, so much so that I inadvertantly started taking pics on the 11th, thinking it was the 12th. But after the kids corrected my 'Mum' moment I stopped and restarted today. In honour of this page about to happen I made this title...The Little Things. Its the things we forget to scrapbook in our attempt to get all the important bits, and memories preserved. I think this should really be my first start on my All About Me project. What better than to combine 2 projects into one!

I'm in love all over again, with my Craft Robo! Who knew what wonders a new blade could do. I've been cutting all day and have lots to show, all will be revealed in the coming days.

Internet troubles

I've had ongoing internet troubles for the last week, so no files uploaded. But I've finally got a new blade on its way so shortly there will be cutting madness here, (there's lots of files ready to cut) and hopefully I can get my internet issues ironed out in the meantime. If not I will be the one sitting in McDonalds accessing the hotspot whilst sipping on an iced chocolate and uploading files.

State Titles

Last week just flew by. Thursday we left for the junior age state titles for Surf Life Saving at Belmont/Swansea. It was a great weekend. My kids tried their best and I'm very proud of their efforts.

And then yesterday they both backed up and represented their school in the regions swimming carnival. My boy was runner up for age champion. He was delighted (to say the least) to recieve a medal. Both did PB's which is fantastic. This is a very proud, although still exhausted Mummy.
