Happy Birthday

Mostly there isn't photos taken on my birthday, since I'm the camera person, and well, last year no one bothered to celebrate my birthday. Oh hasn't DH paid for that mistake all year.

This year I'm planning on it being different, at least I will be with friends since the school swimming carnival is the same day! And I'm going to make my own cake so I know I'll get one. So having faith that the camera will come out, I've made this for my birthday page. It is also the perfect size to fit on a landscape oriented birthday card. The balloons also come seperate so they can be used as their own embellishment.

As birthday week almost officially starts, here is the first of the birthday files for the week. I totally love how these have turned out, and they would look great on the front of a card as well as on a scrapbook page.

Spalsh Zone

While we were on holidays the kids had great fun playing in the pool and water park. I've got lots of fun and silly photos to scrap. I thought this file would also be great for water slide photos or swimming lessons.

Carnival

When we went camping in January there was a carnival at the local park by the water. The kids asked everyday if they could go. Finally there was a night with no rain and we went. The carnival was only small but the kids had a great night.

Frangipani

This file I made to go with my brothers wedding pages. He was married last week in Fiji. I thought it would also be great to use on my daughters friends birthday cards as they are all frangipani mad. The file has the grouped frangipani's with matting as shown below (each flower can be cut seperately), and also an individual frangipani with its own mat.

Bollywood

Last month when we were in Sydney we stopped to watch a Bollywood movie being filmed at Martin Place. I made this file for those photos. It could also be used for Bollywood theme nights. The file comes with extra camera and film paper piecings, and singular titles and matted titles.

Adventure Awaits

Recently my DH went to the US for work. He had a great time, even if it didn't get above freezing for over 10 days, and the coldest was -17 deg C and one day it was -12C at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. brrr! But he did meet some lovely people and experience things that he otherwise wouldn't of. So I made this for the photos we took at the airport, and the beginning of his very long journey to Virginia.

The windows I've drawn by hand with my photo labelling pencil, chalk would also look great for these. The file also inlcudes the plane seperate, the title seperate, and a third title of ADVENTURE in stepped lines.

Test Tube Alien

For Christmas one of my sons recieved a test tube alien. Its very cool, an alien is birthed and lives in a test tube. Unfortunately his is an evil alien, but it was still a lot of fun. There is also a seperate test tube with mat available in the file.

I'm back!

Just to let you know I'm still in the land of existence. We camped in the rain for a week. For those who have done that with 3 children under 10 will know the joy that I had. DH is home from his stint in Virginia. So between my wet camping gear, and all of our washing ( about 20 loads all up), the kids have gone back to school and I'm returning to my normal holding pattern.

So be on the lookout early next week for a new file. Hopefully I can warm the cutter up over the weekend.
